But AI can help me with my work and it makes it easier to understand my school materials.

That's roughly the current situation where people are arguing about using AI. 

In the current digital era, there is debate regarding the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI). On the one hand, there are those who argue that AI is dangerous and should be used sparingly. On the other hand, its proponents highlight the potential of AI to facilitate understanding and simplify the educational process. So, considering the pros and cons, Is it appropriate to embrace AI, and if so, how should we harness its potential?

AI's strength lies in its ability to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and automation, primarily through the utilization of vast datasets to train chatbots and other AI systems. In addition, several industries have developed AI in their work systems, such as health services, finance, and education is no exception. In the realm of education, AI's transformative role is reshaping the way students approach learning. 

Here, we will discuss what AI can do for us and what we should be aware of using AI in education. 

Advantages AI in education

• Personalized Learning: AI offers a personalized learning system that can be tailored to each individual's learning abilities. There will be no complaints for students who do not understand the material because the school system does not suit them or is too fast to follow. Here, AI will help by understanding each student's adaptability, so that students will get the same understanding at their respective learning speeds.

• Interactive Learning: Interactive Learning: One of the major advantages that AI offers in the field of education is the enhancement of learning systems. By expanding the learning process from text-based reading and teacher explanations to virtual simulations and interactive content, students can be motivated to learn and understand the material well.

• Improved Study Efficiency: AI can also help students spot student weaknesses and recommend improvements that students can correct by analyzing their work or exams. Therefore, it can bring efficiency in the student learning process because students can focus more on several things that require more attention.

Challenges in using AI in education

• Data Privacy Concerns: The main power of AI is the provided data. If students want AI to help them according to their needs, AI needs that student's data. Therefore, one of the concerns that students must be aware of is the privacy of their data that will be provided to AI to provide such assistance.

• Inaccurate information: The information provided by AI is not always correct considering that AI is a robot-based system that only relies on information provided by its creator. Therefore, there is no guarantee that the information provided is accurate. Additionally, information obtained from AI cannot be used as a valid reference source.

• Overreliance on Technology: There is a big risk that students will become too dependent on AI. Students can easily get the information they need immediately by using AI. As a result, students will use AI continuously and this will affect their critical thinking abilities.

Here we can understand that AI brings its own benefits and challenges in the field of education. Our task here is to continue to adapt and continue to develop the education system with existing technological advances. AI promises further advances in the future that can be used to help improve the education system so that it continues to provide the best education system to students. Inevitably, the old education system must be ready to adapt to developments in AI in the education sector. On the other hand, students must also be provided with an understanding of how AI works and the impact it will have on the students themselves if it is used inappropriately. The role of the teacher is important here. Teachers must provide students with an understanding of how AI works to avoid misuse of AI.

Overall, AI can provide significant benefits in education by improving the learning experience. Students will no longer have a conventional learning system. With AI it can develop into an interesting learning process that can motivate students to learn the material and provide better understanding. However, teachers must still control the use of AI to avoid misuse which causes a decline in the skills acquired by students.
